For Praxis I was asked to film a short, 45-90 second video about who I am and give some insight into my previous work experience. I thought it'd be fun to do something different than filming it in my office, and I'm currently visiting probably the most gorgeous place on Earth, also known as Colorado, so I took the opportunity to combine my love of videography and nature into one, succinct video. I think it's only correct to call this a video in place of a "film" as the cinematography was basically limited to steady shots the entire time.
If you're curious how I made this, I filmed the video next to the Tiers of Zion, right outside of Golden, CO, and set my camera on a tripod. My camera is a Fuji X-T2 with a Fujinon 23mm f.14 lens that really helps convey the scale of the mountains. Color grading is done in FilmConvert in Premiere Pro.
Without further ado, here's the video!
